Having been registered as a psychologist since 1998, Trudy is a very experienced practitioner and has worked with children, teens and adults in private practice, the community and higher education. A former primary school teacher, she made the transition to psychology in her mid 20s and continues to love the privilege of supporting people back into health and well being.

She has a warm, down to earth and empathetic communication style with a great sense of humour.  Her clients report that they feel heard and understood by her and leave their sessions feeling stronger, lighter and back in touch with what is important in their life.

Trudy has expertise in treating stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, trauma, addictions, relationship issues and adjustment disorders. She also has EAP expertise in supporting clients experiencing workplace issues such as bullying, organisational change and sexual harassment.

In partnership with clients and their families, she focuses on developing skills and awareness so that clients can deal more effectively with their issues. She uses trauma informed, body orientated therapeutic approaches such as mindfulness training, art therapy techniques and family constellation work to facilitate greater mental health and well being in clients.
