Welcome to the Freeman Clinic

Freeman Clinic is dedicated to restoring health and well being to you and your family.

We are an evidence based clinic and work with other qualified professionals to support you in creating a more balanced life and relieving symptoms such as stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and attention issues.

As humans, we are governed by past conditioning often bringing us into feeling “stuck” or acquiring habits that no longer serve us. Recent advances in neuroscience indicate that diet and the brain (including the gut brain!) have a significant impact on our health and well being. This suggests that many of our dis-eases may simply be an outcome of diet and brain conditioning rather than a lack of commitment and personal will. Through therapy, education and training, we use cutting edge methods and approaches to move you past these blocks to create a more balanced and healthier life.

If you would like to be surprised by discovering new ideas about yourself and your life, perhaps you might want to consider Freeman Clinic. Our team of professionals would love to work with you so you can experience good health, wellbeing and a sense of “coming home”.

The Freeman Clinic is run by:

Trudy & Xavier

Trudy & Xavier are a married couple who live in Witta. Freeman Clinic is located on their property as a studio space under their house. Their vision is to provide a small dedicated clinic to the community utilising their collective knowledge and expertise. It is envisaged that other qualified professionals will also use the space and work in collaboration with Trudy & Xavier to provide a holistic health service to clients.

Trudy Haak

Having been registered as a psychologist since 1998, Trudy is a very experienced practitioner and has worked with children, teens and adults in private practice, the community and higher education. A former primary school teacher, she made the transition to psychology in her mid 20s and continues to love the privilege of supporting people back into health and well being.

She has a warm, down to earth and empathetic communication style with a great sense of humour.  Her clients report that they feel heard and understood by her and leave their sessions feeling stronger, lighter and back in touch with what is important in their life.

Trudy has expertise in treating stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, ASD, trauma, addictions, relationship issues and adjustment disorders. She also has EAP expertise in supporting clients experiencing workplace issues such as bullying, organisational change and sexual harassment.

In partnership with clients and their families, she focuses on developing skills and awareness so that clients can deal more effectively with their issues. She uses trauma informed, body orientated therapeutic approaches such as mindfulness training, art therapy techniques and family constellation work to facilitate greater mental health and well being in clients.
